God Is Not Great – Christopher Hitchens

Hitchens, one of our great political pugilists, delivers the best of the recent rash of atheist manifestos. The same contrarian spirit that makes him delightful reading as a political commentator, even (or especially) when he’s completely wrong, makes him an entertaining huckster prosecutor once he has God placed in the dock. And can he turn a phrase!: “monotheistic religion is a plagiarism of a plagiarism of a hearsay of a hearsay, of an illusion of an illusion, extending all the way back to a fabrication of a few nonevents.” Hitchens’s one-liners bear the marks of considerable sparring practice with believers. Yet few believers will recognize themselves as Hitchens associates all of them for all time with the worst of history’s theocratic and inquisitional moments. All the same, this is salutary reading as a means of culling believers’ weaker arguments: that faith offers comfort (false comfort is none at all), or has provided a historical hedge against fascism (it mostly hasn’t), or that “Eastern” religions are better (nope). The book’s real strength is Hitchens’s on-the-ground glimpses of religion’s worst face in various war zones and isolated despotic regimes. But its weakness is its almost fanatical insistence that religion poisons “everything,” which tips over into barely disguised misanthropy. (May 30)

Equation for God

Scientists working in the UK have discovered robust evidence that the creation of the earth and moon was a deliberate act. The researchers found that the earth, moon, and beyond were engineered according to a specific equation. They have dubbed it the God Equation. The equation, which looks like this:

godequation.jpeg

shows a constant, unchanging relationship between the speed of light, the ratio between the circumference and diameter of a circle, and the radio frequency of hydrogen in space. Artificial intelligence engineer David Cumming, CEO of the Edinburgh-based company Intelligent Earth, recently discovered the equation, and said: “I am a scientist and as such I didn’t at first really believe it myself. But physics is physics, and maths is maths, and you can’t argue with it.”

Nick Gisburne – The Atheists Are Revolting Review

Nick Gisburne

The Atheists Are Revolting

This was the very first Atheist book I ever bought. I first discovered Nick Gisburne when I was surfing through Youtube about whether God was real or not, during the time that I had started to question my faith in God. I came across his video titled “How to Prove there is no God”. After watching it, I found it funny about the way he came across in the video saying that it was impossible to prove that there is a God, but it’s impossible to prove that anything doesn’t exist. I then started to watch some of his other videos, and found them to be brilliant, and to the point, with a twist of comedy as well. I subscribed to his Youtube channel and went on to be a regular visitor to his website gisburne.com watching every single video and reading every single blog post.

Nick Gisburne is the man that was responsible for my Atheism. Having loved his work so much, the minute he released his book I bought it straight away. A lot of the information in this book is from his videos, but much tidied up, and with a ton of extra content including his hilarious poems about God. I give this book 10/10 due to its laid back nature, while at the same time providing such convincing, informative and educational content. I’d love to hear your thoughts on his book, post a review on here if you have read it as well. Check out the amazon review through the link below!

Christian’s Can Answer Their Own Questions

This is an excerpt from The Atheist Experience show, where a Christian caller claims to have proof that God exists. His proof was that his mother was in the hospital and was very sick and was about to die, and the next day they came back to the hospital and she was better, therefore God exists. The guys then asked him, so if that proves that God does exist, then when a person is perfectly normal and healthy and suddenly drops dead, that must prove that God does not exist. They then go on asking him why he doesn’t believe in Unicorns, the caller replies with “because there is no proof and it’s a fairy tale”. Again answering his own question as to why God doesn’t exist! Yet I don’t think he was smart enough to realize what he was actually doing. See for yourself:

Dan Barker vs Bill Donohue on FOX News

This is an interview about Atheists putting up a sign explaining that God isn’t real and that Christmas was stolen from the Winter Solstice by the Christians and they renamed it, and claimed it to be their own original holiday and that it’s all about Jesus. Dan Barker tries to explain that this isn’t true, and gets a garbage full from Bull Donohue, as well as the news reporters. This is a prime example of how bias the Fox News network is towards Atheists and that their whole network basically get’s as many Atheist speakers to come onto the show, and tries to make them look bad by saying that they are “simply wrong”, and never backup any claims with evidence themselves. They just end up calling them names in the end, “stupid, “insane”, “crazy”, and persuade their brainwashed audience to not even listen to Atheist explanations. Have a look:

Nick Gisburne’s Reply to the Atheist Nightmare

For those of you who don’t know who Nick Gisburne is, he is well known in the Atheist community, and is the author of two books, soon to be a third. I have read all of his books and will soon post some reviews them. Anyway, Ray Comfort made that shows how a banana is the Atheist’s nightmare, because of how well it is “designed”, it proves the existence of God. Much to his stupidity, many people replied to his “proof of God” with the scientific facts about bananas, and with examples of very poorly “designed” fruits and vegetables.

Here is the original version of Ray Comforts video:

Here is Nick Gisburne’s reply to it:

I also had to throw in this video of a girl that called up on the show The Atheist Experience and used the banana as an example. He totally shatters her way of thinking and had a really good answer. As stubborn as she is, she still refuses to believe him. It makes you wonder what they are being taught in school, or if they went to school at all? I’d like to hear your thoughts!

Pissed Catholic Mother

If you haven’t already seen this video, then brace yourself because it’s disgusting, shocking, evil, sad, call it what you will. This is what happens when a devout Catholic Mother finds out that her child doesn’t believe in God. Note the language and bribery that she uses in turn. Check it out:

——————————————————————

So what do you think of that? What is your stance on this kind of behavior? Now keep in mind, that it is extremely rare for this kind of footage to be recorded on camera, so just imagine all the times that this has happened to kids from telling their parents they didn’t believe in God. Surely there would have been much less worse cases, but much worse cases as well!

I have also listed a few replies to this video on Youtube from people who really nailed the point to this video, I suggest you check them out below. Also I’d love to hear your comments on this video, especially if you are a Christian or catholic.

Greydon Square – The Compton Effect

The Compton Effect

The Compton Effect

Greydon has got to be the best, if not, no actually he IS the best Atheist rapper of all time. I bought his album the second it was released and I can tell you that it is truly amazing! Each song conveys a compelling message about Atheism and the effects of religion on our society. The beats are just as good as the lyrics itself. If only they played this on the radio right? I bet Greydon could write a book with his talent for writing such convincing and strong facts of Atheism. He could even call it “The Compton Effect – The Book”.

If any of you guys have bought or listened to the album, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it as well. Post a comment about this album. Big ups to Greydon for his outstanding talent and I wish him all the best in the future!
